A place to go to keep warm this winter – ‘Warm Welcomes’ in Dudley borough

As the weather starts to turn colder and with energy bills on the rise, local people can feel reassured to know that there are places across the Dudley borough where they will receive a warm welcome this winter.

Dudley CVS has coordinated a community-led response with the boroughs voluntary and community sector to develop a network of ‘Warm Welcomes’ spaces to support local people during the cost of living crisis and increases in energy costs.

Located across the borough, ‘Warm Welcomes’ are safe and welcoming places where people and families can go to keep warm if they are facing challenges or struggling to heat their homes this winter. The spaces offer free hot drinks, activities, and someone on hand to lend a listening ear if needed.

Dudley CVS is passionate that working collectively is the best way to support and nurture our communities, especially when times are tough. We’re so pleased that over 50 organisations across the Dudley borough and a team of volunteers have joined the Warm Welcomes network to support Dudley’s residents through these difficult economic times and the challenges that lie ahead.

We hope that people will feel reassured that there are places within their local communities where they can go to enjoy a cuppa in a warm, safe, welcoming space during the cold winter months.
